Flower agate, also called floral agate, sakura agate, or cherry blossom agate, is a variety of agate with opaque chalcedony inclusions that resemble small flower formations. This mineral was recently discovered in Madagascar in 2018 and has only been observed to crystallize in lumps. It is usually found in pale pink, beige, and white “flower” inclusions. Flower agate is very popular among craftsmen and sculptors not only because of its vibrant colors but also because of its chemical resistance.
